1998"Dawson's Creek" is an American teen drama following the lives of four teenagers through their high school and college years. Set in the fictional seaside town of Capeside, Massachusetts, central character Dawson Leery (James Van Der Beek) struggles through his adolescence with friends Joey Potter (Katie Holmes), Pacey Witter (Joshua Jackson) and Jen Lindley (Michelle Williams). It premiered on Channel 4 in 1998 and ran for six seasons.
