Although it's always a tough watch, there's no denying that 'The Handmaid's Tale' has had a huge impact on television since it kicked off two years ago.

Now in its third season, 'The Handmaid's Tale' continues to be worryingly relevant in an increasingly dystopian reality - and it's going nowhere any time soon, either. Variety is reporting that the series has been renewed for a fourth season at Hulu, with four episodes (three in the US) left to air on the third season.

Details are light on the fourth season, but it's expected that series regulars like Elisabeth Moss, OT Fagbenle, Joseph Fiennes, Yvonne Strahovski and Ann Dowd are expected to return. The series has picked up a string of awards since it began, with Elisabeth Moss' performance garnering huge praise from critics and audiences alike.

No air date has been set for the fourth season, but again, it's expected that the fourth season will appear on Hulu and RTÉ in 2020.
