Paul Mescal and Daisy Edgar-Jones are the leads of 'Normal People', Connell and Marianne. The pair have become stars in the wake of the show's success.

Both have been busy promoting 'Normal People' on talk shows across the globe.

And it seems they've got a beautiful, enduring friendship off-screen as well as a chemistry-filled relationship on-screen.

Mescal wished his co-star Edgar-Jones a happy birthday yesterday. The British actress just turned 22.

Sharing four gorgeous photos from the romantic TV drama, Mescal bragged about what a "legend" his co-star is.

He captioned the Instagram post: "Happy birthday to this LEGEND! @daisyedgarjones you are one of a kind. Have the best day ever"

Daisy responded to the post, using an adorable nickname that she has given the Irish actor.

"THANK YOU PAULIO" she wrote, followed by four yellow love heart emojis.

In other 'Normal People' news, Sharon Horgan recently said she felt "dirty" watching the show, while a takedown warning had to be issued to Pornhub after sex scenes from the show appeared on the video platform.
