It's not much to go on, but damn it, it's all we need to know about 'Law & Order: Organized Crime'.

A very brief, 25-second teaser for the new series has made way its online and gives us a glimpse of Det. Stabler trying to explain why he's been gone for so long from our screens, as well as confirming the US air date for the new series.

In fact, this is the very first glimpse at the new series since it was first announced and show Stabler looking as grizzled as we've come to expect of him.

Here we go.

As we said, it's brief - but dammit, our boy's back on the job. 'Law & Order: Organized Crime' is the seventh - that's right, SEVENTH - spin-off of the original series, which began all the way back in 1990. In fact, there's been some spin-off of the original series on the airwaves for over three decades now.

An episode of the upcoming season of 'Law & Order: SVU' will act as the groundwork for 'Law & Order: Organized Crime', explaining where Stabler's been and why he's only coming back into the fold now. Set photos have shown that Stabler and Benson have met up, which immediately has us wondering how that all goes down.

'Law & Order: Organized Crime' begins on US streaming service Peacock on April 1st, with no confirmed air date for the series confirmed on this side of the Atlantic.
