As Graham Norton points out after DeNiro gives Donald Trump both barrels yet again in front of a camera, "I didn't even bring him up, ladies and gentlemen."

To be fair to Robert DeNiro, any time he's been on TV lately to promote 'The Irishman', he happily and merrily talks about what an absolute arse Donald Trump is, and how much of a gangster he is.

Interestingly, DeNiro's theory about how crime movies from the '70s - such as 'The Godfather' and 'The Godfather, Part II' - appealed to audiences because they had a sense of honour about them is probably right. After all, throughout that period, you had the Vietnam War, Watergate and Spiro Agnew, not to mention countless more corruption investigations in the White House.

As DeNiro tells it, the reality of today is that it's warped and this appears to be lost on Donald Trump as he's a guy who "thinks he's a gangster, who's not even a good gangster."

Take a look.
