This hour-long documentary marks an important moment where for the first time in its 230 year history, the Royal Irish Academy will hang portraits of twelve female academics on its walls. Those being honoured include the first four female members of the RIA and eight living scientists, leaders in their fields in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM). The campaign aims to make women leaders visible to inspire next generation. This doc goes behind the scenes of the event, following the artists Blaise Smith and Vera Klute in their challenge of painting these portraits which celebrate extraordinary Irish women.
