Thelma's girls are begging their course in dressmaking. For some, the first day at the factory is the first day's paid work they've ever done. The trainees battle to understand the general rules of a professional work place. Feisty 16-year-old Irish traveller Margaret struggles with authority and clashes with fellow trainee Bridget. As tensions rise Shannon, the youngest of the group, does something Thelma can only describe as 'pure evil' and is suspended from the course. As has become customary at this stage of reality based mini-series, Thelma starts to realise that her good intentions could seriously jeopardise her business.
