BBC2 are taking a brief trip back to the mid-nineties tonight, starting with one of the best installments of Father Ted ever broadcast (repeatedly). It's the one where Bishop Brennan orders Ted to campaign against a controversial film - which naturally becomes the biggest box-office hit in the island's history. Down with that sorta thing. This is followed by The Fast Show at 11.25pm, with fast paced (if a little repetitive) sketches from Paul Whitehouse, Harry Enfield Charlie Higson, Caroline Aherne, Mark Williams, John Thomson, Simon Day and Arabella Weir. Midnight sees us brought back to 2008 with the most recently repeated installment of Never Mind the Buzzcocks. Simon Amstell (dressed as an adorable bunny) is joined by regular Phill Jupitus, guest team captain Jack Dee and panellists Alexei Sayle and Stine Bramsen from Alphabeat. She has all the personality of a gnat.
