The Kildare actor will star in a new crime podcast later this year.
The Paul Mescal song 'Black to the Bed' has been released ahead of a brand new crime podcast set for release next month.
The track features Mescal singing a very dour and relentless track which features Isaac Jones, glasseyed, and Fionntán Larney.
'Black to the Bed' comes from Springheel Productions, who have crafted the upcoming scripted podcast.
Titled 'Black Alley', the podcast series will be a fictional anthology, with each episode being its own standalone story. Paul Mescal will appear in an episode of the series, 'Thunder', and each entry in the series will be interconnected in a universe of crime and some "truly awful people".
'Black Alley' will feature a number of other Irish actors in the lineup too, such as the comedy duo from 'The Young Offenders' Chris Walley and Alex Murphy; Tom Vaughan-Lawlor and Peter Coonan from 'Love/Hate'; Niamh McCann from 'Brooklyn'; Eanna Hardwicke from 'Vivarium'; Frank Blake from 'Game of Thrones'; and Mescal's co-star Meadhbh Maxwell from 'Normal People'.
Mescal is currently filming his first Irish movie role up in Donegal. 'God's Creatures' sees him star opposite Emily Watson in a psychological drama which will be distributed by the acclaimed film production company A24. He's already finished production on Maggie Gyllenhaal's 'The Lost Daughter', and he also recently wrapped on the musical 'Carmen', replacing Jamie Dornan.
The 'Black Alley' podcast will begin on June 1. It will consist of four episodes, released every two weeks, finishing on July 13. The Paul Mescal episode 'Thunder' will premiere on June 15.
