'Greenland' was among the many, many movies that was meant to arrive in cinemas last year.

Directed by Ric Roman Waugh and headlined by Scottish bae Gerard Butler, 'Greenland' was originally scheduled to hit the big screen in Ireland in August 2020.

In fact, it was set to be among the first movies to hit theatres post lockdown that summer.

On the bright side, we can watch the disaster movie shortly from the comfort of our couches.

Waugh and Butler previously collaborated on the film 'Angel Has Fallen'.

According to the official plot synopsis, "A family fights for survival as a planet-killing comet races to Earth. John Garrity (Gerard Butler), his estranged wife Allison (Morena Baccarin), and young son Nathan make a perilous journey to their only hope for sanctuary...

"As the countdown to global apocalypse approaches zero, their incredible trek culminates in a desperate and last-minute flight to a possible safe haven."

'Greenland' streams on Amazon Prime from February 5th.
