If anyone is far-sighted, they'll know what a pain in the ass it is to try and recognise people without your glasses on or contacts in.

We don't yet know if John Travolta is far-sighted or not, or maybe the lights were in his eyes, but it looks like he had another on-stage flub at an awards ceremony last night at the VMAs. When Taylor Swift was awarded the Video of the Year, she went on stage with a number of drag queens from the music video, 'You Need To Calm Down', to accept it.

One of said drag queens was Jade Jolie, who was on the fifth season of 'RuPaul's Drag Race' and featured in the music video that won. Travolta, who was holding the award, seemed to offer it first to Jolie before immediately clocking his mistake - all of which, of course, was caught on camera and then tweeted about by people watching at home.

Let's take a look at some of the tweets and the footage itself.

To be fair to John Travolta, it didn't seem like he was all that sure of who exactly Taylor Swift was. For example, he asked Queen Latifah to read out the winner's name so that he wouldn't mess it up, not to mention the fact that he had a general idea of what she looked. If you saw someone coming towards you, who looked generally like the person you had in your head, wouldn't you think to hand them the award?

Plus, drag queens pride themselves on looking as close as possible to whomever it is they're channelling, so you've got to assume that this is one big compliment for the drag queen. Either way, John Travolta now seems to be the go-to guy for awards ceremony f*ck-ups and considering how painfully boring most of them are, that's only a good thing.
