Iconic Welsh rock band Stereophonics have announced that they will play Fairview Park on July 1.
The band join an absolutely stacked line up of acts playing the North Dublin park this summer including Phoebe Bridgers, Foals, Olivia Rodrigo, Primal Scream, Inhaler, St. Vincent and Greta Van Fleet.
Special guests on the night is Waterford singer-songwriter Moncrieff.
Emerging near the tail-end of the '90s Brit-pop boom, Stereophonics combine brash traditionalist guitar rock with arena-ready alt-pop anthems. Driven by the distinctive, rough-edged vocals of frontman Kelly Jones, the band found mainstream success in 1999 with the release of their sophomore effort, Performance and Cocktails.
Stereophonics' twelfth album 'Oochya!' released last month. Lead singer Kelly Jones said, "The album title was always a saying me and the band used in the studio to mean 'let’s have it', a blast of energy and optimism and that's what we wanted to get across with 'Hinges'."
The band celebrate 25 years together, having achieved 8 number 1 albums, 10 top 10 albums, 23 Platinum Sales Awards, 8.5 million albums sold in the UK alone, 5 BRIT nominations and 1 BRIT Award win.
Tickets go on sale this Friday, April 8 at 10am and can be purchased here.
