Paige Turley may be making a name for herself on this year's 'Love Island', but the Scottish twentysomething has a musical past.

The ex-girlfriend of Lewis Capaldi - who recently admitted that he wrote the song 'Hold Me While You Wait' about her - even went on Britain's Got Talent.

She auditioned for the show in 2012 (when she was just 14), singing Birdy's version of the Bon Iver song 'Skinny Love'.

All four judges praised her performance, with Alesha Dixon calling her 'adorable' and David Walliams saying 'I think you look and sound like a pop star'. Amanda Holden told her that she had 'a really bright future ahead', while Simon Cowell called her 'absolutely fantastic'.

Turley ended up reaching the semi-finals, where she sang a Bruno Mars song. She later went on to be part of a girl band called G-Side, but in latter years has apparently slipped into the 'muse' role for Capaldi.

In case you were wondering, Ashleigh and Pudsey the dog won BGT that year.
