The music world has sadly lost a number of important names over the past few weeks, but one of the most quietly influential was Adam Schlesinger.

The Fountains of Wayne bassist was also a songwriter and composer for numerous TV shows and films, the most famous of his songs being 'That Thing You Do!' from the 1996 film of the same name.

Since his death, numerous peers have paid tribute to him but the most unexpected was Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong.

Armstrong has been doing quarantine sessions from his home dubbed 'No Fun Mondays', and the latest installment saw him cover 'That Thing You Do!' in tribute to Schlesinger.

And y'know, it's not half bad.
