GamerFest will be returning to the RDS in Dublin this October, and with fans counting down the days until the event, the organisers have dropped more exciting information to tide fans over.

'MultiVersus' has taken the world of gaming by storm in 2022 with over 20 million players checking out Warner Brothers' fighting game, and the game will be present at GamerFest.

Whether you're a seasoned veteran with the game or want to see what the fuss is about, GamerFest will allow you to go hands-on with the game at the event in 1V1 and 2V2 battles.

The VR gaming specialists at Zero Latency Dublin will also be in attendance with roaming VR technology, with visitors to the event able to utilise VR headsets and walk around within incredible VR gaming worlds.

VR has come a long way since its primitive state of the 1990s, and thanks to Zero Latency Dublin, you won't believe your eyes at how far the technology has come.

With this year's event serving as the first in-person event since 2019, GamerFest has announced a brand new GamerFest Lifetime Achievement Award.

For its inaugural year, the recipients of the award will be John and Brenda Romero for the incredible contributions they have made to the gaming industry both globally and in Ireland.

The award will be presented to John and Brenda on the eir Live Stage followed by an in-depth chat about their incredible careers and success.

Some of the biggest streamers in Ireland will also be present at the event, and you can meet your favourite streamers such as The Gara Show, AntiTinkerBell, DeeBeeGeek, FunkyTown49, MrPaddy Murphy, GibsonCasts and many more in the Creator Lounge.

Riot Games have also partnered with the event, with a 'Valorant'
tournament on offer for budding esports players.

The GamerFest x Valorant Beacon Tournament will act as a pathway for
Irish Valorant esports players to the Northern European Regional League
and the Valorant Esports Ecosystem.

The event will be open to players of all ages and skill levels provided a minimum of 3 of the 5 team members are of Irish residency, and team members are not yet currently participating in a current series of tournaments.

As ever, fans of 'FIFA' will be looking forward to checking out the FIFA Zone
and sampling the latest game in the franchise.

GamerFest is hosting both a 'FIFA 23' freeplay area for visitors as well as a 'FIFA' tournament with prize money awaiting the finalists on the eir Live Stage.

And finally, games of the non-digital variety will also be making their way to GamerFest, with Dakota Irish, the world-renowned provider of premium,
high-quality, and artisanal accessories for tabletop gaming enthusiasts
and dice collectors also attending the event.

Dakota Irish will bring with them a selection of their exceptional quality
products and will be hosting the brand new Tabletop Zone at the event
where visitors can play 'D&D' as well as other tabletop games.

GamerFest will be on at the RDS on October 22nd and 23rd, with tickets going fast on GamerFest.ie.
