After days of teasing fans with cryptic clues and billboards in various cities, Interpol have finally announced their new album.

The New Yorkers spent much of 2017 on a 15th anniversary tour of their debut album 'Turn on the Bright Lights', but apparently found time to fit in some studio work too.

'Marauder' is the trio's sixth album and is released on August 24th. The band worked on it at Yeah Yeah Yeahs' rehearsal space in Manhattan - where they were so loud during rehearsals that their neighbours called the police on them.

It's also the first time that they've worked with a producer since 2007's 'Our Love to Admire', with Dave Fridmann taking the reins on 'Marauder'.

The first single to be released from it is called 'The Rover', which you can hear below now.
