American police procedural drama that follows the work of profilers at the FBI's Behavioural Analysis Unit (BAU) in Quantico, Virginia. The team was originally led by Special Agent Jason Gideon (Mandy Patinkin). He was replaced in season three by Special Agent David Rossi (Joe Mantegna). Other regular characters include Senior Supervisory Special Agent/Unit Chief Aaron Hotchner (Thomas Gibson) and Supervisory Special Agents Emily Prentiss (Paget Brewster), Jennifer Jareau (AJ Cook), Derek Morgan (Shemar Moore) and Spencer Reid (Matthew Gray Gubler). Jeanne Tripplehorn joined the series in season eight as FBI Linguistics Expert Alex Blake. "Criminal Minds" premiered on Sky Living in 2006.
