"Breaking Bad" is a critically acclaimed American drama following the story of Walter White (Bryan Cranston), a struggling school chemistry teacher who lives in New Mexico with his wife Skyler (Anna Gunn) and teenage son Walter Jr (RJ Mitte), who has cerebral palsy. Walter is diagnosed with lung cancer at the beginning of season one and given two years to live. With a desire to secure his family's financial future, he teams up with former student Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul) to make crystal methamphetamine. The series follows Walter's transformation from mild family man to a kingpin of the drug trade. Other characters include Skyler's sister Marie (Betsy Brandt) and her husband Hank (Dean Norris) and sleazy lawyer Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk). It premiered on FX in 2008 and ran for five seasons.

Walt must also adjust to a new relationship with Skyler, whom while still reconciling her relationship with Walt, is committed to properly laundering Walt’s money and ensuring her sister Marie and an ailing Hank are financially stable.
Walt is faced with the prospect of moving on in a world without his enemy. As the pressure of a criminal life starts to build, Skyler struggles to keep Walt’s terrible secrets. Facing resistance from sometime adversary and former Fring lieutenant Mike, Walt tries to keep his world from falling apart even as his DEA Agent brother in law, Hank, finds numerous leads that could blaze a path straight to Walt.
