The first-ever winter edition of 'Love Island' gets underway next week, with the new series off to pastures new. Taking place in South Africa, the upcoming season has already been making headlines after Caroline Flack stepped down from the series before Christmas following an assault charge.
Bray native Laura Whitmore is now set to take the helm and will be introducing us to a whole new batch of singletons on Sunday, 12th January at 9pm on Virgin Media One.
Speaking about joining the series, Whitmore said, "I'm super excited, it’s the biggest and best TV show. Normally I’m sitting on my sofa watching it, which I’ll still be doing when I’m not out in South Africa, but I’m so glad to be a part of it too.
"I can’t wait to work with the team and in a different location this year which will bring a brand new side of things. I can’t wait to meet the Islanders too!"
The lineup, which is revealed below, unfortunately, doesn't feature anyone from Ireland, which is a pity considering the impact the Irish made last summer. You never know though, maybe they are saving the Irish invasion for the bombshells.
For the first time ever, however, the show will have single twins, 20-year-olds Eve and Jess Gale from London.
So without further ado, we present to you the very first contestants of the very first winder edition of 'Love Island'.
