If you saw 'Strictly Come Dancing' last weekend, you'll be aware that Will Bayley did not perform.

The Paralympian was given a bye through to next week after suffering a pretty bad knee injury.

Viewers were shown a short clip of how it happened, with Bayley jumping off a table during rehearsals and landing awkwardly on his knee.

Now, it's been confirmed that he will not be returning to the show at all after the BBC released a statement that read: "Sadly, due to the injury sustained last week, Will Bayley is leaving Strictly Come Dancing."

Bayley himself said: "I’m gutted my Strictly journey has had to come to an end. I’ve loved being part of the show, and am so grateful for the phenomenal support we have received.

"I want to say a special thank you to Janette for believing in me and giving me the confidence to believe in myself. The things we achieved, from our Couple’s Choice dance through to the lifts in our Salsa, will stay with me forever. I’ve had the time of my life."

He also appeared on 'Strictly: It Takes Two' last night, and insisted that his disability was not the cause of his injury.

During an emotional interview, he said: "I just want people to know that it’s not because I have a disability, I don’t want people to be put off dancing, it can happen to anyone, it’s just unlucky."

It's not yet known if Bayley will be replaced in the competition at this point. Reality TV star Jamie Laing was also replaced on the show after suffering a foot injury, but that was before the live shows had begun.
