Not unlike Cabot Cove and 'Murder She Wrote', Neptune is one of those towns where a lot of unreasonably violent things happen all the time.

So it goes with the fourth season of 'Veronica Mars', with Kristen Bell back in the lead role and none other than Oscar-winning actor JK Simmons taking up the role of this season's villain. Neptune is rocked by a bombing and several vicious murders, all of which point to some massive conspiracy.

As the official synopsis reads, "Veronica is drawn into an epic eight-episode mystery that pits the enclave’s wealthy elites, who would rather put an end to the month-long bacchanalia, against a working class that relies on the cash influx that comes with being the West Coast’s answer to Daytona Beach."

Well, it is 'Veronica Mars' after all. Anyway, all the familiar faces are there and a couple of new ones, including Patton Oswalt and the aforementioned Simmons. You've also got the same whip-smart one-liners everywhere, and plenty of cheesy pop-rock soundtracks to go along with it.

Add that up with the fact that Kristen Bell looks like she's hasn't aged a day since 2007, and it's all looking like 'Veronica Mars' might be back for good. Currently, the series will debut on Hulu on July 26th. As with most Hulu Originals, it'll hopefully end up on RTE and terrestrial television in the months thereafter.
