There have been rumours of a second season of 'The Night Manager' since its debut in 2016, but now Deadline has confirmed it is happening.

A second season of the John le Carré adaptation is in the works at Amazon Prime Video and the BBC, with Tom Hiddleston set to return as Jonathan Pine.

The production is currently under the codename 'Steelworks' according to Deadline, with season 2 set to start filming later in the year in London and South America. We should add that while it is not yet officially greenlit, it is looking likely to receive a two-season order,

Also set to return is the show's original writer, David Farr.

The first outing of the show received huge critical acclaim along with two Emmys and three Golden Globes. Given that Hiddleston has been off becoming even more of a Hollywood superstar, no doubt it's been tricky to bring him back but looks like schedules have finally aligned.
