Attention parents and everyone else under the sun - Tom Hardy is returning to our screens to send us all off to sleep once again.

Beginning later this April and running for six episodes, the Tom Hardy 'Bedtime Stories' will be running once again on BBC's children's channel CBeebies. And if that wasn't exciting enough, the actor will be joined for a number of episodes by his French Bulldog, Blue.

We can already feel viewer's hearts exploding with emotion - here's a picture of his cute little pup Blue.

Tom will kick off his first episode on April 27, where he will read 'Hug Me' by Simone Ciraolo at 6.50pm on CBeebies. The children's book is about Felipe, the young cactus who really needs a hug but his family just isn't the touchy-feely kind - perfect for our current situation.

Other stories Tom will be reading to us and our little ones (and housemates) include 'Under The Same Sky' by Robert Vescio and Nicky Johnston, and 'There’s A Tiger In The Garden' by Lizzy Stewart. Tom will be doing a total of six episodes for viewers, which will conclude his fifth reading on May 1, and the final sixth date of his takeover will be announced soon.

You'll remember previously that Hardy took over our screens on the channel in the past, and ever since his first appearance in 2016, his videos have amassed over a million views on the BBC iPlayer.

To whet your appetite here's one of the previous Tom Hardy 'Bedtime Stories' for you, as he reads 'Odd Dog Out' by Rob Bidduph.
