Dah dah dah dum, dee dee dee, dah dee dah dee dah... Saturday has finally arrived, and if you don't get that there lyrical reference, you're not living at all. Whether you're sitting in with the family, having a few friends round for dinner party (how fancy) or just chilling at home by yourself this evening, there's plenty on the telly to keep you ticking over.

From more weird and wacky wannabes on Britain's Got Talent, to out of this world adventures with The Doctor and his lovely assistant, there's lots of family friendly telly to feast your eyes upon this eve. If a few s'leb interviews are what you're after, than you can kick back with Brendan or flick back and forth between himself and Jonathan for a more, errr, eclectic mix. And if comedy is what you're after, then you can always take a peek at what Hyde from That 70s Show did next...

3. Season Of The Witch Channel 4: 9.00pm
Yeah, yeah, yeah, we know: Another Nicolas Cage movie. However, you might not know that our own Robert Sheehan features in this 2010 fantasy horror film, which tells the tale of some young wan who's suspected of being a bit of a sorceress. Darren from Love/Hate as wannabe 14th Century Knight anyone? Not for younger eyes, we might add.


2. The United States of Television: America In Primetime BBC Two 10.30pm
Alan Yentob's documentary series takes a look at US social history through the prism of prime time television, asking how what we see on the telly reflects life as we know it. Tonight he's talking outcasts, and looking at some of the best quirky TV characters of all time. Anything that involves Danny DeVito, Alec Baldwin and Jason Alexander is fine by us. Judd Apatow's on hand to talk Freaks and Geeks too.

1. Goodfellas RTE One 11.55pm
How am I funny? Martin Scorcese's Academy Award winning film may be almost 3 hours long, but it's perfect late night viewing, and universally recognised as a true cinematic classic. And sure as far back as I could remember I've always wanted to be a gangster...


And sure if you're really in the mood for a bit of priceless comedy, you can always catch the Fianna Fail Ard Fheis on RTE One at 8.30pm.
