Is it time for a 'Scrubs' reunion?

14 years have passed since the last episode of the hit hospital-set sitcom aired, after all - and there's undoubtedly an appetite to see more of J.D., Turk et al.

So when several of the cast members were pictured together over the weekend, naturally it has seen tongues beginning to wag about a potential revival of the show.

'Scrubs' ran across nine series from 2001 to 2010, making actors like Zach Braff, Donald Faison and John C. McGinley recognisable household names across the globe.

McGinley posted a picture of himself with several of the cast members, including Braff, Sarah Chalke and Christa Miller, captioned "getting the band back together", alongside actress Amanda Kloots.

Miller shared the same picture on Instagram and said that it was an "impromptu pizza party", while her husband Bill Lawrence - the show's creator - joked "Was not invited. Weird."

Whether it was simply a group of old friends hanging out - as they apparently regularly do - or the beginning of something else remains to be seen.

Last year, Lawrence said that a 'Scrubs' revival movie was bound to happen at some point.

"I think it’s inevitable that it happens," he said. "The joke of it with us is the first time that six months go by that we don’t hang out, we’ll end up doing a ‘Scrubs’ reunion."
