Little did we know that Luke T was only the tender age of nine when he first appeared on our TV screens.

The 'Love Island' contestant, who was a semi-professional footballer and student before he entered the villa, has come a long way since first appearing on our TV screens way back in 2007.

Currently coupled up and in a relationship with his fellow contestant Siannise Fudge, old footage of Luke T has been unearthed of when he was only nine years old.

Supporting his mum Beverly Trotman back when the 'X-Factor' used to be popular, Luke is filmed briefly speaking to camera - and it's fair to say that he's looking all kinds of cute.

Luke says: "I really love my mum. I'm really proud of her."

The series that Beverly was in why back then was only the fourth season of the talent competition, and she was mentored in the Over 25's category by Louis Walsh.

She managed to secure sixth place, in a series where Leon Jackson went on to grab the top prize. Here's one of her performances from the show, singing 'I Will Survive' by Gloria Gaynor.

Luke T isn't the first contestant from this year's 'Love Island' to be on our screens before entering the villa. His fellow islander Paige Turley was also on 'Britain's Got Talent'.

'Love Island', which concludes this Sunday night, continues tonight at 10pm on Virgin Media One.
