A lot may have happened in this week's episode of 'Game of Thrones' but the main talking point was, unfortunately, a misplaced coffee cup that appeared in a scene with Emilia Clarke.

Either Winterfell had just opened a Starbucks or someone had dropped the ball with this episode. Turned out, a big mistake had been made, with HBO releasing a statement about the offending coffee cup saying: "The latte that appeared in the episode was a mistake. Daenerys had ordered a herbal tea."

Oh you jokers, HBO.

The episode's art director Hauke Richter spoke via e-mail to Variety on the issue saying: "Things can get forgotten on set." Adding that the reaction on social media was "so blown out of proportion" because it had never had happened on 'Game of Thrones' before.

Well, everyone does love a good gaffe.

Irish actor Liam Cunningham, who plays Ser Davos Seaworth on the hit show, also addressed the coffee cup in an interview with Conan O'Brien last night, even bringing one alone for the host.
