After a litany of behind-the-scenes drama that culminated in the exit of one of its lead actors, the TV series based on 'Lethal Weapon' is no more.
The series will end on its current third season, coming as a shock to just about anyone who's been following the story behind it. Clayne Crawford, who played Martin Riggs, was fired from the series in 2018 after reports of clashes with the cast.
Eventually, both audio recordings and footage of Crawford in action surfaced online and painted a pretty terrible picture of both the series' itself and Crawford's behaviour. When he was kicked off the show, the rumour was that the series was going to be cancelled.
Instead, Seann William Scott - that's right, Stifler from 'American Pie' - was brought on as a replacement character and it limped on for a third season. To make it even more pointed, Damon Wayans - the actor who plays Roger Murtaugh - was also set to quit the series whether they got a fourth season or not.
So, now that it's all over, you have to ask whether it was even worth it in the first place. Could anything take the place of the original movies? Or 'It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia' taking the utter p*ss out of it?
Of course not. We're all told old for this sh*t.
