If you saw Jenny Ryan's audition on 'The X Factor: Celebrity' the other week, you'll be aware of just how potentially entertaining she could have been.

The star of quiz show 'The Chase' gave it socks while singing Queen's 'Somebody to Love', but as we saw on Saturday night, she failed to make it through to the live shows.

However, the three judges have apparently changed their mind after an outcry by fans on social media, and she'll now appear as a contestant on the live shows when they begin this Saturday.

Nicole Scherzinger will mentor her in the Overs, saying: "Jenny was just brilliant at her audition in LA. That voice of hers is one of a kind, and she’s an amazing person to get to know. So it was such a tough decision to make. ‘After a lot of discussion we all agreed we had to put her through. The Overs are gonna smash it this year!"

Ryan, meanwhile, said: "I’ve loved every moment of The X Factor and I’m delighted to be able to get the opportunity to perform live. The response from the public has been amazing – what an incredible experience. I’m so pleased it’s continuing!"

The other contestants who will compete in the live shows are groups Max and Harvey, V5, Try Star and Love Islanders, mentored by Simon. The Unders, mentored by Louis, are Jonny Labey, Kevin McHale, Olivia Olson and Megan McKenna. The Overs are Victoria Ekanoye, Ricki Lake, Martin Bashir, and Vinnie Jones.
