If you were thinking it's about time that Ireland got its own Scandi-noir crime series, you'd be right.

Luckily, there's one on the way later this year.

US TV network Starz, alongside BBC One, RTE and Northern Ireland Screen have come together for 'Dublin Murders', a new 8-part psychological crime series based on American-Irish author Tana French's novels 'In the Woods' and 'The Likeness'.

It stars Killian Scott and Sarah Greene as two detectives both investigating separate murders that initially seem unconnected - but a dark thread linking both soon emerges.

Other members of the cast include Scott's old 'Love/Hate' mucker Tom Vaughan-Lawlor, as well as Moe Dunford and Conleth Hill (aka Varys from 'Game of Thrones').

There's a serious bang of 'True Detective' off the trailer, which we're liking a lot.

It arrives on our TV screens this autumn, with an exact date TBC.
