We couldn't quite believe it when Sophie was booted out of Geordie Shore for allegedly making racial slurs earlier this year, but it hasn't taken the producers long to find her replacement. Meet Marnie Simpson (we couldn't help but think it was a mash-up of Marge and Maggie when we first read it), a former Miss Newcastle runner-up who will aim to spice things up on the Tyne.
Believe it or not, Sophie hasn't been totally forgotten: It turns out that Marnie is her younger cousin. Why-aye pet. The 20 year-old apparently makes an instant impression on the rest of the gang, and is said to have already had a fling with one of the lads. Oooh-er.
"I think the girls will find it hard not to like me, but I know they will think I'm prettier than them" Marnie modestly stated. "I don't give in to guys easily, so the boys will have a chase on their hands - I know Gaz will try it on for sure." We're going to take a wild guess here and say he's the one she's had it off with already. That said, when it comes to Geordie Shore you can never be too sure.
Anyway, if that hasn't endeared Marnie to you all already, you might be interested to know that she's "fun, carefree and single". Oh and lads, if you're hoping to pull her, you'll need "blue eyes" and "clean teeth". Anything less than "fit" is unacceptable, because this girl's dream man is Ashley Cole.
Geordie Shore Season 7 (yes, it has been around that long) takes the gang back to Newcastle. We'll let you know when we hear about an air date from MTV.
