You might recall how earlier this week, we reported on a Change.org petition to have the eighth season of 'Game of Thrones' rewritten and remade.

At the time we posted that article, the petition had a hefty number of signatures - just over 13,000. As of writing this article, there are now 799.931 signatures on the petition and it's going up every few seconds. By the time we've finished writing this article, it'll probably cross 800,000 comfortably. In fact, by the time you've read this article, it could well be over 1,000,000 signatures.

Of course, the petition could reach 2,000,000 signatures, or even 2,000,000,000,000,000 (that's two quadrillion, by the way) signatures. It won't matter. None of it will matter. The simple fact is that HBO is not going to remake or rewrite the eighth and final season of 'Game of Thrones', no matter how many times you write your name down on an form on the internet.

More than that, how entitled do you genuinely have to be to think that a gigantic media conglomerate like HBO is going to listen? Did it work when people tried to reshoot and redit 'The Last Jedi' because they'd a problem with Rey? Absolutely not.

But hey, sign that petition. You do you.
