As well as building our anticipation for episode three, 'Game of Thrones' certainly ramped up our astonishment in this week's episode.

*Spoilers for episode two 'A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms' below*

Arya Stark, played by Maisie Williams, got down and dirty with Joe Dempsie's Gendry in this week's episode - a surprise for everyone involved to be quite frank, including us viewers. It was speculated, but we didn't actually reckon it would really happen though. That being said, this is George R. R. Martin's crazy fantasy world, and anything can happen - just ask the Night King's undead Viserion.

In an interview with EW, as we reported a couple of days ago, Maisie Williams opened up about the scene in question. She said, "At first, I thought it was a prank. I was like, 'Yo, good one.' And [the showrunners were] like, 'No, we haven’t done that this year.' Oh f—k! I got to the read-through and I’m reading the scene and thought, 'Oh, we’re actually going to do this. When do I shoot this? I need to go to the gym.' A whole list of things."

Now, just in case you were shocked and appalled by what went down - in comes poor ol' Maisie Williams to make you feel much worse. She tweeted this howler, "if u feel uncomfortable just know that my mother and my step dad and my 2 sisters and my 4 brothers have all probably watched this too ahahakillmeehehe."

At least that's the one thing we'll probably never have to worry about.
