On the third day of November, Disney gave to us... a brand new festive advert to warm our cold, clammy hearts.

We might only have just entered November, but the cold snap has well and truly entered our atmosphere. And with it, Disney has unveiled its Christmas advert for the year, so prepare to have your heart warmed up even if you're feeling slightly Grinch-y.

A continuation of their advert from last year, 'The Stepdad' sees Nicole, the granddaughter from last year's ad, now all grown up with her family. However, her two children Max and Ella have to come to terms with their new stepdad Mike moving into their family home.

While it doesn't initially all go to plan, the advert ends on a high note, as you would expect from the House of Mouse. Relatable and heartwarming, the Disney Christmas advert also features a number of references to some classic characters from the Wat Disney company such as Mickey and Minnie Mouse and characters from 'Toy Story' and 'Frozen'. There are also plenty more Easter Eggs, should you search through the video frame by frame.

In celebration of the 'From Our Family To Yours' campaign, Disney will donate more than $2m to its long-standing charity partner, the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Gregory Porter also penned the special track heard on the advert, 'Love Runs Deeper', featuring singer-songwriter CHERISE. For every download made before December 31, 2021, 100% of the proceeds from the retail price will be donated to Make-A-Wish International.

Here's the heartwarming advert.

Later this month, Disney+ Day will launch on November 12, which will see a host of new titles arrive on the streaming service for its second birthday. For those getting in the festive mood, 'Home Sweet Home Alone' will launch on the day.
