***SPOILERS FOR LAST NIGHT'S 'LOVE ISLAND' FOLLOW*** On last night's episode of 'Love Island', contestants Brad and Lucinda had to decide which of them would be leaving the show.

The couple had been voted the least compatible by the public. In the end, Brad said that he would leave the island and Lucinda could stay.

While he wasn't a popular contestant with the public, Brad was beloved by his fellow islanders.

A lot of tears were shed upon the news that he was leaving.

The first official exit interview with Brad is now live.

In it, he mentions Lucinda - who he affectionately refers to as Cind or Cinds - throughout. It's clear that he's really crazy about her...

Brad spoke about his favourite 'Love Island' moments and his hopes for life after the villa as well.

How did you decide who would leave?

For me, straight off, I said ‘I’ll leave’. I’m kind of hoping she [Lucinda] doesn’t find love in there, because maybe we can carry on from where we left off. I had a bit more time than her, so going off time alone it’s only fair that she got her fair shot at it.

Did you hope Lucinda would leave with you?

On the night, it was one of them situations where, I didn’t want her to leave [with me]. The way we had a connection, it would be really nice to take what we had and continue it on the outside. I woke up this morning and I wish we had left together. I want to see where that could have went. Not being able to speak to Cind, or ask her where she’s at, I want to know how she’s woke up this morning.

Will you still watch?

Of course. I want to watch how my pals are getting along, lads and lasses. And then for me I’ll be keeping an eye on Cinds, seeing who’s going in there, see if they’re treating her well. I’m a fan of the show anyway, I’ll watch to see what’s happening. If Cinds leaves single, I’ll be straight in her DMs, I’ll get myself down to Brighton and see if we’re going to go for an ice-cream along the beach.

Are you waiting for Lucinda?

Do you wait for like six weeks, hoping that she isn’t [with someone] and then missing opportunities? Or do you rush in and forget about Cind and move on… I’m in no rush. I didn’t expect to find anyone like her in there. To answer that question, I really don’t know. My gut instinct would be to wait it out, see where it’s at and continue on, just to see if it was a good thing. It started off more than well, it was unreal. It would be sad not to see how it would go on the outside.

What would you like to do with Lucinda outside of the Villa?

I’d love to go to Brighton and meet these people we’ve spoken about, put the faces to names. Vice versa, bring her to Amble. Just see how we are on the outside.

Were you surprised to be in the bottom three?

I was. Me and Cind were faultless. Everyone was commenting on how happy I looked, how happy Cinds was. Cinds was telling me how happy she was with me and vice versa. Everyone could notice it. I think if you were to ask the Islanders in there, who is the most compatible couple in there, me and Cind would have been right up there. Especially considering there was friendship couples. Unfortunately, mine and Cinds’ time as a couple got cut short.

Who do you think should have been in the bottom?

Realistically, because the vote was off compatibility, you’re looking at Sharon and Hugo or Aaron and Kaz, because them two were friendship couples.

How would you sum up your experience in Love Island?

It was unreal. But, unfortunately, the main part of my experience got cut short. Before I met Lucinda everything was good, chilled. Lucinda walked in, blew my mind and from that moment I was buzzing. I was waking up each morning wanting to be around someone’s company.

What was your favourite moment?

I’d have to give you three: first meeting everyone at the start, when Cind walked in and going on my first date.

What would you say to people who have criticised your ‘chat’?

I’ll talk for days, sometimes people might have to butt in. As for questions… If I’m not interested in something, I’m not going to ask questions about it.

How do you see the situation with Rachel?

The good thing with me and Rachel is, I was honest and when Lucinda came in, Rachel even came up to me and said, ‘She’s you, go and do it.’

Who are your favourite Islanders?

Jake and Lib are my favourite couple. Me and Jake get along well. Jake and Liam are absolutely spot on lads. I think I’ll miss them the most in there. And then there’s Cinds. She’s just stunning and I’m gutted I’m not still in there waking up beside her in the morning.

Who is the untidiest Islander?

Toby doesn’t do any tidying in there. Jake makes a mess, but Jake will tidy it up. Toby… he doesn’t even know how to make a bed.

Do you have any regrets or anything you’d do differently?

No. I regret that I’m not still in there now. If I got the opportunity to go back in there then I would. I don’t personally have any regrets as I went in there and I was myself. I just regret not being in there longer.

If you could message Lucinda now, what would you say?

Meet us outside the Villa for a chat… ha ha. I’d tell her how I felt this morning and put it out there that what we had was good. Waking up this morning, it was better than what I even thought… I got attached to you more than I thought I had and leaving that night made me realise that. But if something can happen on the outside then great, continue that on. But enjoy your experience, you deserve it, you’re a good lass, look after yourself.

'Love Island' continues tonight on Virgin Media One and Virgin Media Player.
