After 11 weeks of hard work and drama, the moment of truth finally arrived. Alan Sugar pointed the finger at one errr, lucky lady, and said those two magical words that every Apprentice candidate wants to hear: You're hired. Well, in theory, at least.

It was Derry native Leah Totton who was on the receiving end of that finger last night. The young doctor impressed the big boss with her cosmetic procedures business, so he agreed to give her that much sought after £250,000 investment, and become her business partner. We do hope he knows what he's doing...

Lord Sugar admitted that he's taken a risk by picking Leah over Luisa Zissman. Her wholesale bakery goods business has initially seemed right up his alley, but it was the "devil" in him that ultimately made the decision. "Leah's a very determined young woman, and it's a very interesting industry, and she's the most interesting candidate, and she has the most interesting business proposition," said Sugar when explaining why he had picked Totton.

"To have Lord Sugar show this faith in me is absolutely unbelievable, it's amazing. I had much less experience than the other candidates in business coming in to the process and I really can't believe that I have got this far and that I've actually won it! I can't believe it" a delighted Leah gushed. "I'm really going to do everything that I can to prove that he has made the right decision and I won't let him down."

Here's hoping eh lads? He won't want a repeat of that Stella English incident...
