Fans of the cult teen mystery/drama series 'Veronica Mars' have been chomping at the bit for a reboot or revival of some sort, ever since the show ended in 2007.

Now, its star Kristen Bell - who played the girl detective - has claimed that it's only a matter of time before a new mini-series is made.

According to IndieWire, Bell said that she had kept in touch with the show's co-creator Ryan Hansen over the years. "We are willing to put the effort in — I mean, if I have to do it as ‘Murder She Wrote’ at 80, we’re going to do it,” she said. “It’s going to happen.”

The show was made into a 2014 movie that was crowdfunded by fans, but Bell - who is currently starring in 'The Good Place' said that a mini-series would be more feasible for any future Veronica Mars projects.  “You can’t do two television shows at the same time - so we’d have to do like a miniseries," she said. "Rob and I email about it every couple of months or so. And personally I think, and I think Rob probably agrees, is that a) we’ll never make the fans pay for it again and b) the format works better as an episodic [series].”

Needless to say, the show's hardcore fans went into meltdown at the possibility...
