Brazil v Morocco (Kick-off 11.00pm). Tony O'Donoghue presents coverage of the Group C match at New York/New Jersey Stadium in the USA. Brazil are perennial competitors at the World Cup, having appeared in all 22 previous stagings of the tournament, while their five victories in 1958, 1962, 1970, 1994, and 2002 are more than any other nation has achieved. However, they are far from the dominant force they once were and finished fifth in the CONMEBOL qualification with a record of eight wins, four draws and six losses from their 18 games. In contrast, Morocco finished with an unblemished record in their qualifying campaign, winning all eight matches, while scoring 22 goals and conceding just two. They come into this tournament on the back of a controversial appearance in the AFCON final just five months ago, when they lost 1-0 to Senegal in extra time after Senegal left the pitch and refused to return after conceding a penalty in the final minute of regulation time, which Morocco's Brahim Diaz then missed when the game eventually resumed. However, three months later the CAF Appeal Board ruled that Senegal had forfeited the final through their actions, awarding Morocco a 3-0 victory, subject to a ruling from the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
