After 'Artemis Fowl' dropped on Disney+ last weekend, another film is skipping the cinemas and heading straight to the service.

The next Disney+ movie is titled 'The One And Only Ivan'.

Angelina Jolie stars in it and also produces.

The film is a blend of live-action and CGI (as the House of Mouse has taken quite a liking to).

It packs quite a cast between Jolie, Sam Rockwell, Danny DeVito, and Brooklynn Prince. Bryan Cranston, Helen Mirren, Chaka Khan, Mike White, Ron Funches, Ramon Rodriguez, Ariana Greenblatt and Philipa Soo also star.

Ivan (Rockwell) is a 400-pound silverback gorilla who lives in a cage at the Big Top Mall and Video Arcade with some other animals.

He's used to humans watching him through the glass walls he calls home, rarely missing his life in the jungle, which he has few memories of.

Ivan loves TV shows and his friends Stella (Jolie), an elderly elephant, and Bob (DeVito), a stray dog.

He is also passionate about art.

When Ivan meets Ruby (Brooklynn Prince), a baby elephant taken from her family, she makes Ivan see their home – and his own art – through a new perspective.

The story is adapted from the award-winning children's novel of the same name by Katherine Applegate.

Thea Sharrock ('Me Before You') directs.

'The One and Only Ivan' arrives on Disney+ on August 21st. The next highly anticipated release on the service is 'Hamilton', which arrives on July 3rd.
