If you have managed to get sucked into royal drama 'The Crown' on Netflix then no doubt, like us, you are chomping at the bit for season three. Never fear, it's on the way.
Olivia Colman has confirmed that she starts working on the period drama next month. Speaking at a Q&A after a screening of 'Flowers' series two last night, Colman said: "I haven't started that yet. It starts in July, haven't read it yet."
It was announced in October that Colman would be taking over the role of Queen Elizabeth from Claire Foy as the series moves on to older versions of their characters. Helena Bonham Carter will also be taking over the role of Princess Margaret from Vanessa Kirby for the next two seasons while Tobias Menzies will replace Matt Smith as Prince Philip.
The Crown season three will also feature Jason Watkins as former Prime Minister Harold Wilson and Josh O'Connor as Prince Charles.
Speaking about his decision to recast roles, the show's creator Peter Morgan previously told Variety: "You can’t ask someone to act middle-aged. Someone has to bring their own fatigue to it. The feelings we all have as 50-year-olds are different than the feelings we all have as 30-year-olds."
The Crown series three comes to Netflix in 2019.
