The first-ever winter 'Love Island' series is well underway with a whole new batch of singletons. The show launched on the 12th January with Irish woman Laura Whitmore now at the helm. That news was announced just before Christmas after Caroline Flack stepped down from the series following her assault charge.
For this winter season of 'Love Island', the show is filmed in a villa in South Africa, which looks very fancy altogether although we don't envy them climbing those steps every day. The date of the final has yet to be officially announced, but it's thought the series will run for 6 weeks rather than the typical 8 weeks that the summer show has run for in recent years.
A source told the Mail Online late last year, "Winter 'Love Island' also won't run quite as long as the summer version. It's been decided it will go on for 6 weeks rather than the usual 8. The main 'Love Island' show also ran for 6 weeks until the 2018 series when it was extended by a fortnight."
So by our calculations, the final will be Sunday, 23rd of February.
As soon as that is officially confirmed we will let you know but would mark that date in the diary for now.
