You've heard of 'Inventing Anna', but now let us introduce you to 'Inventing Chloe'.
The last few months have seen streaming fans become swept up in multiple documentaries and dramatised TV series all about people pretending to be someone that they're not - based on their real-life counterparts. It's become so much of a phenomenon that Netflix's 'Inventing Anna' has become the subject of the latest 'SNL' episode this past weekend.
The 'Inventing Anna' sketch on 'SNL' stems from the hugely popular dramatisation of the Russian/German con artist known as Anna Sorokin, who was using the guise of a German heiress, Anna Delvey, in the US. Portrayed by Julia Garner in the Netflix limited series, it has become one of the most talked-about shows of the year.
The 'Saturday Night Live' take, entitled 'Inventing Chloe', sees comedian and actor Chloe Fineman take some inspiration from the Netflix series, channelling her inner Anna Delvey while working on the NYC comedy show.
Nailing the "Russian accent that's also German", Fineman becomes a walking con artist on the set, getting up to all sorts of questionable happenings including throwing her Metro card at a production assistant so they can order her some top tier food.
This weekend's host, Oscar Isaac, also joins in on the action, trying to get to grips with Chloe's accent as she reels off a famous line said by Garner during the series ("I look poor? Oh, thanks").

Netflix's 'Inventing Anna' comes hot on the heels of another con artist being the main subject of an unbelievable yet real-life storyline, 'The Tinder Swindler'. The documentary also focuses on the topic of a person pretending to be someone else for love and for money, Shimon Hayut.
Expect many more TV series on the subject of questionable business etiquette this month alone; Disney+'s 'The Dropout' dramatises Elizabeth Holmes' healthcare scam, while Apple TV+'s 'WeCrashed' will showcase the rise and fall of WeWork, starring Anne Hathaway and Jared Leto.
