Aiden Power, Blaithnaid Ni Chofaigh and Derek Mooney present coverage of this year's event in Dublin, which culminates in a two-hour parade exhibitioning a wealth of creative talent (or bored arts students, depending on your level of cynicism). Among the artists trooping through the city centre are local street theatre performers, ceremonial groups and international marching bands. The main attraction for the festival this year is the presence of The Simpsons creator, Matt Groening, and some of the cast, who will be leading the parade. If you missed out, on account of amercing yourself in your Irishness by getting locked, St Patrick's Festival Highlights start at 7.00pm; with Simon Delaney presenting highlights from coverage of the four-day celebration honouring the patron saint. The extravaganza includes street theatre, music, carnivals, fireworks, treasure hunts and film. But no Guinness. Probably.
