What fresh hell are we in for this time? Wind, wind and more wind. Wunderbar.
Met Éireann released a Status Yellow weather warning (AKA our new default state) yesterday evening for Dublin, Louth, Wexford, Wicklow, Meath, Donegal, Galway, Leitrim, Mayo, Sligo, Clare, Cork, Kerry, Limerick and Waterford due to high winds that are set to batter the country.
Gusts of up to 110km/h will be sweeping up from the southwest, with coastal areas in the south and west seeing the worst of it.
And of course where there's wind, there's rain and general gloom, or as Met.ie optimistically puts it "widespread showers, many heavy or of hail with isolated thunderstorms and local spot flooding" expected until late tonight. We warned you to invest in a raincoat. Umbrellas are paaants.
So in light of all that brilliant news, here's a tiny hungry kitten that wiggles its ears as it drinks milk. Basically the only good thing that will probably happen today.
