The 72-year-old actor has always adamantly denied allegations made by a female that she was assaulted by the actor in 1987 and 1990. The DA said that while witnesses were provided, none of them corroborated the allegations. Additional investigations did not provide any further corroboration.

According to documents from the DA's office (via Deadline), there was "insufficient evidence to support a filing in addition to the allegations being outside the statute of limitations".

Los Angeles prosecutors have been reviewing the case against the 'Rocky' star since June, following the complaint last November. His attorney Martin Singer said on behalf of Stallone at the time:  "My client categorically denies the allegations."

Stallone's representatives have yet to comment since the DA made their decision.
