Matt Damon appeared this morning on Fully Charged's Graham and Nathan on Irish radio station Spin1038.

The actor has been quarantining in Dalkey for several weeks (where he's been protected by the locals from prying media). Matt Damon was filming Ridley Scott's latest epic 'The Last Duel' when lockdown commenced.

Damon has been based in Dublin since March with his wife and three youngest children. However, his eldest daughter Alexia remained in New York where she was attending college.

The actor revealed that Alexia and her roommates did contract COVID-19 early on. He said thankfully they, "got through it fine", adding that "we’ll reunite with her at the end of the month... But everybody’s okay."

Damon talked about the importance of social distancing and his belief that people are taking it seriously:  "I think we’ve all got the message now, everybody’s doing the isolation and the social distancing and hand washing, everything we can to mitigate this."

"We’re going to go back to Los Angeles and she’s (Alexia) going to come out so we’ll all be together and figure out what the heck we’re going to do. It’s such an odd limbo that we’re all in."
