Lindsay Lohan has given birth to her first child with husband Bader Shammas.

The 'Mean Girls' actress shared news of her pregnancy earlier this year, posting a picture of a babygro with the words 'Coming Soon' written on it and captioning it with: "We are blessed and excited!".

Many of her celeb friends rushing to congratulate her on the happy news and now they have cause to celebrate again following the birth of her son.

She and Shammas - a financier whom she is believed to have met in Dubai, where she has lived in recent years - have called the sprog Luai, with a rep confirming that he was 'beautiful and healthy'.

"The family is over the moon in love," they added.

Luai is believed to be a name of Arabic origin, meaning 'little wild ox.'

Lohan has yet to share a picture of her newborn son bu with the recent news that she and Jamie Lee Curtis are set to return for a sequel to 'Freaky Friday', it sounds like she may be back to work sooner than expected.
