Last month, the daughter of actor Jamie Foxx posted an alarming update on her father's health.

Corinne posted a statement revealing that the 55-year-old star - who had been filming a Netflix comedy with Cameron Diaz in Atlanta - had been hospitalised for what she only described as a 'medical complication'.

No further details on Foxx's condition or the reason for his hospitalisation were revealed, until yesterday when the 'Ray' star was presumably finally well enough to give fans an update.

He took to Instagram to write: "Appreciate all the love!!! Feeling blessed", while many of his 16 million+ followers, including some of his fellow actors, sent messages of support in response.

Ansel Elgort said: "You are the greatest Jamie, please make a speedy recovery. You are a blessing to this world, we need you in it ❤️", while Jeremy Renner - himself only recently out of hospital following his snow plough accident - wrote "Sending you strength and love ❤️."

Vin Diesel and rapper Warren G also sent words of encouragement.

There's no word on whether Foxx has left the hospital yet or will be able to resume filming, although a source told TMZ that he was "communicating again" but that he "needs all the prayers and well-wishes his fans can muster".

Get well soon!
