In the dawn of man and the first tribes to land on Ireland, it was decreed by all that no celebrity could pass through this land without pulling a pint of Guinness.

This ancient decree, passed down from generation to generation, has seen the likes of Barack Obama, Tom Cruise, Meghan Markle and even the Trump sons (with an awful head on them, it must be said) perform this most arbitrary of photo opportunities. It's basically a part of Brehon Law, and now it falls to Emily Blunt to do the same.

Blunt, who's currently in Ireland filming 'Wild Mountain Thyme' with Jamie Dornan and Jon Hamm, stopped into the Thatch Inn in Crossmolina, Co. Mayo to do just that. By all accounts, Blunt knew her way around a bar and had the tilt on it just right, although there wasn't any of the customary rotation of the wrist in the pour.

Still and all, it looks like a decent head on it and one you'd be fine to slurp on while you ask Emily Blunt if those are the Chanel boots. (That's a deep-cut reference right there, so it is.)

Here's the video footage.
