In 1998, 22-year-old Colin Farrell had just been cast in 'Ballykissangel', which is where most people would have first seen him on TV.
If you happened to be watching the World Cup that summer, however, you may have spotted the young actor in full French kit. Not as a player, mind.
Farrell appeared in a promo for RTE's coverage of the football tournament, and as was pointed out on Twitter, there's no mention of it elsewhere on the internet. Farrell himself has never mentioned it, either, but there's no mistaking those eyebrows.
The chances of it being brought up by Tubs the next time he's on the 'Late Late Show', however, have just skyrocketed.

The opening titles of RTE's World Cup 98 coverage was pretty forgettable, but it did feature a young jobbing actor at the time.
Amazingly, I couldn't find anything at all about this online given the internets love for a bit of 'before they were famous'. pic.twitter.com/Xl4Ix1qr9v— KM2 archive (@KillianM2) June 12, 2019
